Lake Manyara

“Fluttering of wings, a pink stain rising up, no, it’s not a dream, but flamingos flying away”

 

The park is dominated by the lake which covers 230 sq km of its total area.


The prosperous and green northern woodland combined with the wide lake populated with flamingos and pelicans, makes the park look like an Eden.


Southern area changes into savannah, where lions resting on acacia trees, can be watched.


At North the swamp formed by Mto Wa Mbu river is a natural pool for hippos.


You can easily meet elephants, as well as zebras, giraffes, baboons, monkeys and dik dik.
