Kilimanjaro National Park

“Cold and toil, you feel like giving up, then the stubbornness in going on prevails, and finally the summit is reached, the goal, what a delight! pure and intense like the blue of this sky, like the white of these glaciers”

In 1849 when the missionary Rebmann wrote about a snowy mount in East Africa, nobody wanted to believe him.

To this day the first encounter with the snowy summit of Kilimanjaro (5.895 metres high), at 3 degrees below Equator, still stirs up surprise and unbelief.

But the ascent to the summit will surprise you further more, taking you on a climatic tour from the tropic to the artic.

Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and one of the world’s most accessible high summit.

Most climbers reach the crater rim with little more than a walking stick, proper clothing, determination and, the most important, enough time to get used to the altitude.

“Pole pole” (slowly slowly) take your time and fully enjoy the beauty of this mountain.
